22nd May 2014 - It's Election Day #Don'tVoteUKIP
Hear all about it here - Pink Lobster Dating's Daily European Election NEWS
"Remember - the suffragettes fought so hard for us to have the right to vote, it is we who must vote in a manner that will ensure their work was not in vain."
As many of us know, the European elections are right around the corner. May 22nd provides us with the opportunity to decide who we want to represent us in European government, and the parties have never been more contested in their policies. As women, and as lesbian or bisexual women especially, this is our chance to stand up in support of our ally parties, and against the spreading homophobia that is surrounding these elections.
Since the legalisation of same-sex marriage on March 28th, most parties have taken very clear, and opposing, sides. Ranging from the insulting, that there is no love in homosexual relationships, to the downright insane, that we cause floods, this is our time to speak up, and speak up loud.
I will be releasing one article a day until the elections detailing the six major parties, and their policies for LGBT people, and encourage you to do your research, and use your vote wisely.
‘There never will be complete equality until women themselves help to make laws and elect lawmakers.’

So, there we have it – my summaries of the policies of UKIP, Liberal Democrats, Conservatives, Labour, Green Party and the BNP. We have covered a wide range of topics, ranging from the European Union to racism, but always focusing on how each party perceives the LGBT community.
I hope these articles have been informative, and that you now feel prepared to cast your vote in today’s elections. I urge you to vote as far-left as you can, to protect the rights of women all of creeds, colours and sexualities.
