What a Night it Was!
The launch party finally arrived. A party full of dresses, heels and lipstick and every woman being proud to wear them.
The party was held in the sensational nightclub The Shadow Lounge, which has an impressive dance floor, a well-stocked bar with lovely chatty bar staff and private little cubby holes where you can converse and people watch. Or lesbian watch. The night attracted women from all scenes and places ready to see what the whole femme meets femme dating thing was all about.
The music was a whole range of girl talent. Opening was Nicolette Street who had the women tapping their feet to the relatable lyrics. Bashema played next and was absurdly good playing a short set with her keyboard. JOANovARC headlined filling the room with their rock and roll style songs from their album as well as a very apt cover of Katy Perry’s ‘I Kissed a Girl’ and finished with the sing-along ‘I love Rock and Roll.’ The LGBT charity The L Project finished off the night with the proceeds from the party going straight to them and in turn Stonewall and Diversity Role Models.

NICOLETTE STREET THE L PROJECT
You got a free lip gloss as you went in drumming in the whole femme power theme of the night. The Creator and Company Director Juliette and her partner Nikki were on the dance floor as soon as the music started and everyone else soon followed celebrating the launch of something very different in the UK. In her speech she thanked everyone for coming and supporting her. This will be the start of making Femmes visible in the lesbian community and it starts with this exclusive dating site.’
