The Best and the Worst LGBT Friendly Places to Work in the US
The Human Rights Campaign Organisation has released its Corporate Equality Index for 2015. This analyses equal rights for an LGBT workforce across the US.
In order to receive 100% a company needs to not only show equality, but to also prove that they have a deeper understanding and drive to ensure that their employees are comfortable within the workplace. For the first time, 366 companies received this wonderful accolade, which is an incredible improvement. Unsurprisingly Apple was one of these companies and Tim Cook was certainly delighted by this result.
However, when you realise that 781 corporations took part this is a huge percentage that did not meet the criteria. In fact 4% received a score of less than 10 out of 100.
