VIDEO: Why Lesbian Stereotypes Don’t Make Sense
Check out this short film showing exactly why people shouldn’t stereotype lesbians on how we look, behave or anything else for that matter. It also deals with some of the ridiculous questions that we often get asked e.g. “How do you know you’re a lesbian if you’ve never slept with a man?”; “Which one is the man?”
In reality, it’s sad that videos like this still need to be published and that people still have these ridiculous preconceived ideas about lesbians.
This video, nonetheless, shows exactly what Pink Lobster Dating is working to combat. This site is the only one in the world that is breaking down these stereotypes officially and allowing women to differentiate themselves within the lesbian world. So whilst lesbian dating sites do exist none so far deal with this ongoing issue and help to support femme women with how we are judged. Not all lesbians look or behave the same! And we don’t all love the same women… yes you have a friend, but I may not like her!
