5 more States alllow Gay Marriage but it is not enough!
I know I should be happy that 5 more US States have now granted permission for gay couples to marry, but I just don’t understand why such a supposedly forward thinking country has allowed other States to be rejected. Why should we have to move States, in such a country, to be able to feel free and marry the person we love? President Obama and his administration still have a lot do to be able to truly say the US is the most democratic country in the world. Certain areas of the country still continue to be dangerousplaces to live, based on sexuality.
Of course it is great that Indiana, Oklahoma, Utah, Virginia and Wisconsin now join the other 24 states and the District of Columbia, but what about the other 21?
I know I am on my soapbox about this, but until everyone in the US is free to marry any single man or woman, then equality has not been met.
